Lake Area Tech Native Entrepreneur Academy

September 8, 2016 10am-2pm – Lake Area Technical Institute

Explore and experience first-hand how you can become an entrepreneur! Native students will have the opportunity to hear from other successful Native American entrepreneurs on how to create that special “idea” and run with it! The day will incorporate speakers, demos, exhibits and educational opportunities that will be the necessary tools needed to successfully jump start your dream to own your own business.

Hands-on activities in Agri- Aviation, Agri-Business, Agri-Production, Dairy, Environmental, Equine Management, Large Animal Technician, Commodity Merchandising, Precision Technology, Ranch Management and Swine Management.

Hands-on activities in Financial Services, Business Accounting, Computer Information Systems, and Business Associate (including Entrepreneur, Photography/Media, Human Resources Associate, and Marketing & Management).

Lake Area Tech NESD Scrubs Camp

October 25, 2016 - 9am - 2pm

Scrubs Camps are one day, hands-on opportunities for high school students. They are designed to increase awareness, interest, and understanding of health careers available in South Dakota through creative and interactive activities. Scrubs Camps will provide an opportunity for students to experience first-hand, the challenges, opportunities, and rewards of health careers. All while learning about the skills and education that are required to become a health professional.
