Lake Area Tech has a new web site for students.  Its name is ME (short for My Education).  On this site you will be able to review and/or print information about your admissions records, financial aid awards, class schedules, grade reports, bills, account transactions, etc.  New features will be added periodically, so check back often.

Instructions for logging in to the student portal (ME):

1. Open a browser and navigate to http://www.lakeareatech.edu/me

2. Login using the following criteria:
1. Student ID – this is either your Lake Area Tech ID or your Social Security Number (SSN) without spaces or dashes
1. Your Lake Area ID is found on schedules, bills, etc.
2. It is not the 14-digit number on the back of your ID card
3. If you don’t know or can’t find your ID, you may use your SSN
2. Password – first initial + last initial + underscore + last 4 digits of your SSN
1. Ex. If your name is John Smith and your SSN is 123456789, your password is JS_6789
2. Initials must be in uppercase letters

3. Change your password
1. The first time you log in you will be asked to change your password
1. Passwords are to be 7-10 characters long and include:
2. At least one uppercase letter
3. At least one lowercase letter
4. At least one number
5. At least one symbol listed: !, @, #, $, %, ^, &, +, =, or _
2. Please follow the rules on the screen to create a password
3. You will not be allowed to continue until your password has been approved
4. Keep your password in a safe place.  We cannot see your password.  If you forget it, your
   password will be reset to the default and you will need to change it again.

4. When you are finished using the site, please log out
1. If you are at public computer (in a lab, or at the library), please close the browser when
   you are finished to ensure no one can view your private information.
