Vanessa joined the Lake Area Tech team as a Nursing instructor in August 2021. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from South Dakota State University. Her experience includes nursing positions at Prairie Lakes Healthcare System on the Med/Surg floor for four years and as a Labor/Delivery nurse for six years. Vanessa is also a Certified Lactation Counselor and an NRP instructor. She is originally from Watertown and has lived here all her life. She and her husband, Brandon, have three children: Ashtyn, Tate, and Birkley. In her free time, she enjoys camping, fishing, volleyball, softball, and hanging out with family and friends.
