Why did you choose to attend Lake Area Tech? It was a great location to my hometown of Brookings, I had good feedback on the EST program, and my love for technology.

What was your favorite thing about Lake Area Tech? The friends I made.
What was the biggest lesson you learned at Lake Area Tech? The leadership traits I learned.
What made you want to continue your education? Knowing that the path to a career in technology is led through higher education.
What advice would you give a current Lake Area Tech student? Be willing to think outside the box and learn how to get comfortable with having uncomfortable conversations.
What makes you proud to be an Alumni of Lake Area Tech? Every time I have the chance to mentor the next generation. My time as a FIRST Robotics mentor made me think of LATI and the desire to learn technology.
What advice can you give to Lake Area Tech students that will be entering the workforce? Take risks. Learn from mistakes. Push yourself. And, the best advice I ever got was from my Dad (Lt. Col Donald Liebsch), “Never tell people what they want to hear, tell people what they need to hear (good-bad -realistic) and follow up!”
