Scott Carbonneau

Lake Area Tech welcomed Scott to the team in April 2024 as the Dean of Student Services. He is a graduate of Watertown High School and a 1990 graduate of South Dakota State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. Scott also completed the American Banking Association’s School of Marketing and Management and Leadership South Dakota. Previous to this position, Scott served as Vice President of Integrated Marketing for First PREMIER Bank in Sioux Falls and brings more than 30 years of professional experience in community development, program management, communications and marketing. He brings a mix of private and public sector experience having served the State of South Dakota, City of Pierre and two large, community banks. He started his career in Watertown as a staff writer at the Watertown Public Opinion. Scott and his wife have three children and one grandchild. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, golfing and chasing after his busy family. He can also be found clearing his mind along country roads on his motorcycle.
