Allison Schmitt

Lake Area Tech welcomed Allison to the team in January 2024 as an adjunct General Education/Speech instructor. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Education from South Dakota State University. Currently, she is a Digital Engagement Officer with the SDSU Foundation and she also held a role as the Brookings Program Coordinator for the Helpline Center. Allison resides in Brookings and in her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband (Brennen) reading, playing tennis, and being outside.
