Darlene Bogenpohl

Darlene joined the Lake Area Tech team in February 2025 as the Dental Hygiene Program Director. Her education includes: Doctor of Education from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences; Master of Science/ Health Service Administration from the University of South Dakota; Bachelor of Science/Dental Hygiene from the University of South Dakota; and Associate of Science/Dental Hygiene from the University of South Dakota. Her experience includes roles as a Clinical Instructor at the University of South Dakota; Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene Program Manager at Horry-Georgetown Technical College in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Dental Hygiene Department Chair at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri; and Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene Program Manager at Florida State College at Jacksonville, in Jacksonville, Florida. Darlene lives in Watertown, but grew up in Elk Point, SD. In her free time, she enjoys fishing, sewing, gardening, and most importantly – enjoying her six grandchildren who live in Mitchell.
