Michelle McCormick
Michelle joined the Lake Area Tech team in August 2023 as an adjunct Physiology instructor and transitioned to her role as an Anatomy & Physiology instructor and Community Health Worker instructor in November 2024. She obtained a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 1998. She has been a practicing Physical Therapist for 26 years with experience in outpatient rehab, inpatient rehab, Home Health, and skilled nursing facilities in South Dakota, Minnesota, and North Carolina. She has also been contracted by the Navy to provide physical therapy to men and women in the armed forces, and worked closely with Corpsman ordering X-rays, special tests, and medications to direct orthopedic care. Michelle has owned and operated a physical therapy clinic in South Dakota. In addition, she has worked as a Coordinator of Missionary Discipleship and set up education programs for K-12 youth, in addition to coordinating communication between teachers, staff, students, and parents. She lives in Watertown and enjoys gardening, boating, and waterskiing in the summer. In the winter, Michelle enjoys snowshoeing, playing hockey, knitting, and playing the piano.
