Lake Area Technical College Computer Students Advance in Multi-National Competition

WATERTOWN, SD – Ten Lake Area Technical College Computer Information Systems students are advancing to the next level in the NetRiders competition. NetRiders is a set of computer networking competitions sponsored by Cisco Systems involving three levels of competition. Lake Area Technical College CIS students are participating in two levels: CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician for first-year students) and CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate for second-year students). This is a multinational competition involving the United States and Canada.
Moving on to Round Two of the CCENT competition, which is the final round for CCENT students, are first-year students Jacob Jundt, Eureka; Sayer Fritz, Clear Lake; Elijah Bohle, Selby; Christopher Dutenhoeffer, Gettysburg; and Hunter Miles, Colman.
Moving on to Round Two of the CCNA competition are second-year students Jeremiah Brink, Watertown; William Ostrander, DeSmet; Michelle Wellnitz, Milbank; Nicholas Metcalfe, Watertown; and Collin-Joseph Steiner, Langford.
